Bring'em Back
We’re still here. 10 long years without basketball and we’re still here, still ready, still rabid.

Days without Basketball

We’re still here. 10 long years without basketball and we’re still here, still ready, still rabid. For Seattle, the Supersonics aren’t just a team, they’re part of the fabric of our community. Our first major sports team. Our first banner hung in the rafters. Our first parade. Sure, it wasn’t always pretty but you gotta take the bad with the good. It can’t be all ’79 and ’96. You gotta take the Schefflers and the Swifts with the Schrempfs and the Slicks.

10 years is a long time to wait. Some cities might lose hope, the memory erased with a generation. But not Seattle, the passion for our team burns as bright as any city, despite their absence. Jerseys are still worn with pride. The Seattle skyline silhouetted in green and gold is still our coat of arms. We’re tired of counting up the days and being counted out. We’re ready to start counting down.

This project is designed to tell our collective story. To celebrate a fan base that despite it all, is still as passionate about Sonics basketball as ever. To share our memories about our first game, our favorite players, and our hopes for the future. It’s still a sold out crowd, we’re just spread out now.

It’s time to bring ‘em back.

We Never Left

We still tell stories of The Wizard and Big Smooth. Of the first time we stepped into Key Arena. Of Ray’s game winner. Our Instagram feed is a collection of these memories, a place to share what the Sonics mean to us as a community. Let these stories act as an announcement that we’re ready for our team to come back. We’re ready to fill an NBA arena again. We’re ready to storm the streets in victory again.

Let our stories be a testament to our passion, and our love for our team. We want to hear from you and help share your story. Tag us in your own post, use the hashtag #mysonicsstory, or contact us directly to share. Let ‘em know we never left.
